Why choose me as your chosen Photographer?
I love my job as a photographer and I’m told so many times that I have the best job in the world – and I agree – I do! I get to meet fantastic people and create images that they adore and will treasure forever. I have over 15 years of experience after graduating with a degree in Photography and Digital Imaging and I’m always updating my experience through, for example, training days with KW Photography. I also worked at North Hampshire Hospital as a newborn photographer for many years, so I was taught about best practices working with babies.
I’m also conscious that coming in while pregnant is an exciting time but can also be quite scary. The thought of trusting the photographer and being quite exposed going through the experience. I totally understand I’m there with you 100 percent of the way. I’m the only one in the studio with you unless you bring your partner who is also included in the photos if you would like them to be.
When should I book the Maternity Photoshoot?
I would book the shoot when you feel most comfortable to do this. I would recommend having the photo shoot done around the 33/35 week mark. Bump is a lovely size then and you still have a few weeks to go before baby arrives. Thankfully no baby has arrived in my studio yet but I have had a few cases where I have had a message that evening or the following day to say baby is here.
Can partners and siblings be included in the Photoshoot?
Yes absolutely! We want everyone to be included in the images. I would say that if siblings are younger bring something to entertain them as the session can take awhile while changing outfits.
Before the photo session I will always ask what you would like out of the photo shoot, to understand what sort of images you are looking for. Some clients prefer their photos to be just all about theirselves with partners and children, whilst others prefer trying on all the dresses – every session is tailored to each individual client.
You will notice on arrival that the studio is warm and welcoming . I also have a private area for changing so you will have total privacy.
One of the most common questions I get asked is how long the session will last and, to be honest and I would say around an hour (but could be slightly longer with dress changes).
Do you have maternity dresses?
This is the most common question I get asked. The answer to this is yes! I have a large range of dresses and body suits. You can bring your own outfits in and that is perfectly fine but you can also have a look and try on some of the ones in the studio. I also ask if you have seen a dress you like that I may have or can see if I can get the dress in for the shoot.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
I have a lovely studio in the centre of Whitchurch Hampshire but you can have an outdoor maternity session. The choice is yours and how comfortable you feel.
